Work doesn't pay enough for how much I spend on this stuff. I started doing side work to cover my gun and ammo budget, what do you guys do to fund this expensive hobby?

If it was a hobby then I suppose I'd have to find a way to justify the expenses(?). Hmm. Some years back I picked up a bulk pack of .45 XTP bullets. What I have left of them is probably worth 2x what the whole box cost at the time :-).

Odd things. Worked P/T as a guide on wild hogs and deer while in grad school🧑‍🎓🧑‍🎓. Worked as a research assistant in the Science Dept. while an undergrad🔬🔬. Substitute taught high school Biology while in grad school🙏🙏. Working for the Feds for the last 20 years curtailed outside work (needed permission to avoid conflicts and time conflicts). Consulting between working in real estate and returning to college college (an "Expert Witness" on real estate practices for attorneys) :D :D

To keep up with the cost of ammo, I started selling some things on the side. This hobby gets expensive quick. I'd rather work a bit harder to pay for it than spend less time at the range.

When you do accumulate enough cash buy the highest quality item you can afford, Aka: buy the best; don’t settle.

Another tid-bit….DON’T put yourself in debt. Have the money you can afford to spend in hand before you buy. (Pay your bills, buy food, etc before you buy)
