HI! As my title says, I'm on the "Dry Side" of Washington between the Cascades and the Channeled Scab-lands, in the Cascade Foothills.

Background:
Raised in SoCal. Deep sea fishing off SoCal and Baja until age 50, then moved to Wenatchee via NorCal.
BS (at age 46) in Marine Biology and MS (at 48) in Animal Behavior (Thesis on Black Bear Behavior).
20+ years as Wildlife Biologist, Senior Biologist, and Chief, Habitat restoration and Endangered Species Listing and Recovery for Central Washington. Now retired.
Married 38 yrs in August. Daughter from a previous marriage. Two granddaughters. All have taken their elk!

Interests:
All types of shooting. Recently (re)discovered classic Mossberg rimfire rifles.
Reload(ed) calibers from 22-250 to 458. Also, BP cartridges. Shoot a 1917 Enfield and an 1898 Krag.
Disability precludes hunting: elk, mule deer, wild hogs (guided p/t while in grad school), upland game. Rifle, BP rifle, shotgun, & handgun. Wife really enjoyed hunting wild turkeys in Central Cali.
Formerly fly fishing and "collecting" (aka accumulating) cane fly rods, especially Granger and Phillipson.
Archaeology (especially in the SW), paleontology.
Masonic history (Blue Lodge).
Sci-fi (Movies & books). Also Film Noir.
Reading: Especially Elmore Leonard, Michael Connelly, Tony Hillerman, Tom Clancy, Raymond Chandler, classics. Also, Evolutionary Biology.
