Does your partner get the gun thing or no?

Mine has stopped asking how much stuff costs. She just sighs now and says "I probably don't want to know, right?" I think she's accepted this is just who I am at this point. How does your partner handle the gun hobby?

My partner shoots and likes it but even she doesn't understand every new purchase. Support doesn't always mean understanding.

Mine gets it. And she’s into it to. She even gave me money to buy myself a few new guns this last year. We are facing a permit to purchase scenario in a couple of months and we agreed to get everything we need before then.

I have been largely bed bound for the last, I dunno, probably 8 years. I had sold all of my guns except for one center fire and one rimfire (both handguns) ten or twelve years ago. Then a couple of years ago, when my son retired from the Army, he brought me a gift. He gave me a Colt Custom Shop 1911 with target sights.

I used to be a Bullseye and IDPA shooter 30 or 35 years ago. My son took me to the range for the first time in almost a decade. I can’t stand for long periods any more. I have to do all of my shooting seated anymore. Well, I discovered that I have still got it.

I have only been to the range about a dozen times in the last couple of years. But, I suppose it’s making a little progress.

My wife was a competitive shooter as well, back in the 70’s.
