Too often our better halves get forgotten. Let's hear from you guys what you have found for your wives, friends, and girlfriends. Also, if any of the guys carry purses or "manpurses". Fanny packs, etc. Let's also hear from the wives as to what works FOR THEM!!!!

"She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed" has retired several concealed carry purses. She is particularly fond of the Montana West concealed carry purses. She tells me the outside CC pocket is especially comforting. I SWEAR she has an ice chest AND a camping stove in her purse. She can NEVER find her phone or credit cards!!!!:D:D:D

I no longer have a better half (passed at age 53 due to cancer), but based on this review, I gifted my daughter a G42. The women in this video had no shooting experience. They were instructed on how to shoot and gave their impressions of the gun that they were most comfortable shooting. You can go to 26:50 for the summary rather than watching all 30+ minutes:

Pushing these small guns on first time women shooters is one of my pet peeves. These are for expert shooters not beginners. The small guns are lighter and as such have more recoil. Because they weigh less they have stronger recoil springs so they are harder to cycle.

It was clearly stated that these were typical guns ladies would carry in their purses, they were not pushing these.

Good points! However, it should be noted that many women carry these pocket pistols as "Let go of me guns". I sometimes carry a 380 LCP for that reason. I don't care for the DA trigger pull for any real accuracy. I wouldn't use it except as a last ditch escape weapon. I do agree that a QUALITY 9mm would usually be a better choice but women are sometimes intimidated and take time to learn to use them. My wife started with a Bersa 380, then a G-43, and now carries a Sig P-365. She keeps all in the black at 10 yards and says she wouldn't likely shoot any further (I think she could hit further). Both of us recognize discretion is the better part of valor.

Time for the flame proof huggies again.

How about NO to any semi auto. I can bring 10 woman that can NOT pull the slide back.
My gal used her foot to charge her SKS, she could not pull the bolt back.
We started her with a 50AE, went down to a 25ACP, and the 25 ACP is the only one she could rack.
She carries revolvers. Packs them in her consealed purseS. Just like the ones above.
BTW there s a gun shop in Lacy that still sells those purses. I have to keep the woman away.

Besides one 357 mag is worth many of those sissy calibers.

It is imperative that any EDC be something the person can carry and operate! My wife can handle the Sig P-365. A friend has to use the G-43 and another uses a S & W j-frame.

My lot in life is to hang with ladies under 5 foot tall, so I see things from their perspective.
Funny thing is most of them have AR Pistols that they use as carbines.
When the brace rule got made, they all had to buy 16 inch barrels. Now they are switching back to the pistol barrels.
Sure would be nice if the ATF can make up their minds.

These are home guns to them, most never had seen a real firearm. Im arming each new American, one at a time. Only one gal wanted a handgun, she got one of those pepper ball revolvers. Silly girl.
