A trigger job on most factory rifles will transform them. My Savage had a gritty 6-pound trigger that I couldn't shoot well. $75 spring kit brought it to a crisp 3 pounds. Same gun was suddenly shooting half-inch groups..I think people dump thousands on new rifles when their trigger is the problem.

Hard to argue with that. A clean trigger does more for practical accuracy than most flashy upgrades and it’s money well spent under a hundred bucks.

Several years ago, I purchased a trigger kit for my Rem. 870 Wingmaster, after it was installed, the pull weight dropped from 6 lbs down to 3 lbs, that made a huge difference for me!

Curious, was that one from Timney?

I have an 870 police model (18”] and a barrel (28”) I can use during duck/goose season. Although a pump gun isn’t the best thing to use it’s what I have and suits the purpose well for the number of times I’ll actually take some birds.

Just wondering what model you purchased.
