When I was shooting SASS (Cowboy Action Shooting), I belonged to an informal group called the "Warthogs". We shot authentic period firearms (I shot two SAA Colts in 45 cal, a replica 1873 Winchester, and an authentic 1897 Winchester that was marked "Adams Express Company or a double barrel coach gun with hammers), 40 cal or bigger, black powder shells, and dressed in period clothing with boots. No blue jeans, tennis shoes, etc.
