I'm working on perfecting my 124 grain 9mm load. Just finished testing some new powders and I'm excited about the results. What powders are you using for your 9mm loads?

You don't mention what the load is for. Recommendations can vary greatly depending on the performance you seek.

I've commonly used 700X as meeting my needs.

TiteGroup used here. Speed Steel guns and every other 9mm we have. 115s for my son, 124s for me. Powder weights vary, depending on application. Speed Steel loads for dedicated match guns are powder puff loads (except the kids MPX). All defensive guns, are loaded hotter

I'm a fan of 124 gr Berry's plated bullets. For high velocity I've found that both Longshot and AutoComp powders will break 1200 fps from my 5" 1911 or other 5" semi-auto pistols.

They shoot very much the same as 124 gr self-defense factory ammo. Tame in a full size gun, pretty snappy recoil from a lightweight subcompact.

Regards, Guy
