Old guy thinning the herd

I'm at the age to contemplate mortality and I don't want my wife burdened with selling my firearms. Kids would be interested in only a few of them. I have an eclectic collection.

Any suggestions? Gun shops, auctions in SW Wa? No "What do you have, I'll come and give you a price" answers please!

Try posting on the forums with prices (check Gunbroker for estimated value). Gun shops will low-ball you!! I've never done an auction, so I don't know!

EDIT: Get to know a local FFL holder. It helps to have a relationship when it comes to transferring!

I'm being told by local dealers that they have too much inventory, thus the reluctance to consign. But I notice most inventory is black guns and 9mm handguns, none of which I have. I'm a blued and walnut guy, with mostly revolvers as accessories. Maybe mine are out of favor.
