There are upcoming events for veterans in Washington State; See :https://www.va.gov/homeless/events.asp. There is one here in Wenatchee on 9/20/2025. These are designed primarily for vets in need (legal, clothing, shelter, food, etc.). Volunteers are needed!

I am VERY happy to report on today's event!

I was put down with a 24 hour bug and spent last night in the bathroom. My wife went in my stead.

She came home after a couple of hours because the event coordinator told her she wasn't needed because THEY WERE OVERSTOCKED WITH VOLUNTEER HELPERS!!!!! These included a Boy Scout Troop, the entire ROTC from the local high school and a Girl Scout Troop handing out free Girl Scout Cookies to vets!!!!

If anyone of them is reading this, my personal thanks for helping as a vet!
