Took a trip out to the Columbia River last weekend, targeting some sturgeon with a buddy. The weather was a bit iffy — overcast with a light drizzle, which isn't too shabby for fishing. We set out around dawn and tried using squid and a few homemade sturgeon rigs. It was pretty slow at first; I lost a decent one when my line snapped (forgot to check my knots!), but my buddy managed to reel in a nice keeper later in the morning. I'm still kicking myself about that lost fish! How's everyone else's luck this year? Any good catches out there?
