If I were to build my ideal rifle, it would be lightweight and easy to clean with a quick-change barrel for different calibers. It'd have ambidextrous controls and a rail for optics. I'd also want low recoil and a crisp, adjustable trigger. What feature would you put on your dream gun?

I started with a used Rem. 700 action in a 22-250.

Sent it to a gunsmith in Arizona, and this is what he did to it:
Replaced barrel with a Shilen match grade SS barrel.
Trued up bolt lugs.

I then replaced the factory trigger with Shilen match trigger (set at 2 lbs).
Put action into a new synthetic stock and glass bedded and floated the barrel.

Topped it off with Leupold 4.5x14x50mm glass.

This is my coyote slayer......

I’d add modular weights for balance, a simple to use quick detach suppressor, a built-in rangefinder, and comfortable adjustable stock that works for everyone.

A light rifle that you can change the caliber on without tools and can handle bad weather, and also it has a comfy stock and has a sweet trigger.
